Landau Building Company Announces Retirement of President Jeffrey C. Landau


Pittsburgh, PA, – May 1, 2024 – Landau Building Company, a leading construction management and general contracting firm serving Western PA and Northern WV region, announces the retirement of President Jeffrey C. Landau. Jeffrey joined Landau as a warehouse assistant in 1976, and then progressed through various roles including carpenter’s apprentice in 1983, journeyman carpenter in 1986, and ultimately became president in 2011. The company continued to grow across various industries and markets within the construction industry during his tenure.

Jeff will formally transfer his responsibilities to Executive Vice President Jennifer Landau, who will assume the new role of President, leading the family-owned and operated company into its sixth generation. Jeffrey will officially be winding down his 45+ year career on Friday, May 10th, 2024.

Over the last four decades, Jeff has held various roles within the company, including master carpenter, superintendent, estimator, project manager, and vice president. As the fifth generation to lead the company, his dedication to building strong relationships within the industry has been instrumental to Landau’s trusted reputation and successful results.

“My time at Landau Building Company has been satisfying and rewarding,” said Jeffrey. “And I know Jennifer is more than ready and committed to lead this company forward into the next generation.”

Throughout his career, Jeffrey Landau has been actively involved in industry associations, serving on the Board of Directors for the Master Builders’ Association of Western PA and the Pittsburgh Builder’s Exchange. He has also been a member of Carpenter’s Local 211 and the American Concrete Institute, demonstrating his dedication to the construction industry.

Taking over the role of President will be Jennifer Landau, who has been actively involved in the company’s operations and management for over 20 years. Jennifer brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to continuing the legacy of Landau Building Company that Jeffrey has nurtured and preserved.

Happy Earth Day!🌎

Landau was thrilled to sponsor the 4th Annual Earth Day Celebration at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall. The community came together on Saturday for a day of outdoor fun filled with eco-crafts and games and getting up close with composting worms and chickens from local urban farms.

As a longtime partner of the library overseeing the 20-year transformation, it was rewarding to see everyone enjoy the new Library Park. Here’s to a greener future! 🌱

On Monday, April 8th, the Landau team had a blast at Grove City College’s total solar eclipse watch party! We brought along some eclipse-themed snacks and even hosted a fun trivia session outside of the Rockwell Hall of Science project. What an unforgettable experience shared far and wide!

Jennifer Landau, CHC, LEED GA, Vice President and Project Manager, has assumed the position of Executive Vice President. Pittsburgh, PA – Master Builders’ Association of Western Pennsylvania, Inc. (MBA) is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2022 MBA Building Excellence Awards. The winning projects will be celebrated at The Construction Industry Evening of Excellence, on Thursday, February 23, 2023.

Presented annually, the MBA Building Excellence Awards are the highest and most sought-after commercial construction industry awards in our region. This year, we received 30 submissions. Each project’s submittal was meticulously reviewed by our judges and after much deliberation, they have selected this year’s finalists. Landau Building Company Welcomes Nicoletta Harrington as Project Manager

 

Pittsburgh, PA – November 30, 2022 – Landau Building Company, a full-service construction company serving Western PA and Northern WV for the last 130 years, is pleased to announce Nicoletta Harrington has joined the company as Project Manager.

Nicoletta, ‘Nicki’, has been involved in the construction industry since 1982. She carries a wealth of experience having worked for developers, building management firms, architects, and general contractors throughout the Pittsburgh region. Nicki offers a unique AEC perspective, having gained experience working both as a construction manager, estimator, and project manager. She views the business from every angle and applies this knowledge to developing successful solutions.
