Elliott Centennial Building

  • Project: New Headquarters Building
  • Owner: Elliott Turbo Company
  • Location: Jeannette, PA
  • Architect: KSBA Architects

Landau Building Company was construction manager for the Elliott Group’s new headquarters in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. Elliott Group is an international company that manufactures turbines used in the oil industry. The 140,000 SF building is named to commemorate the company’s 100th anniversary. Construction began on the $15 million facility in July 2011 and was completed in July 2012. The slab from a former manufacturing facility on the site was utilized in the construction of the new structure. Landau worked with the owner and architect from initial schematic designs through construction documents. A guaranteed maximum price (GMP) was developed to meet Elliott’s space program requirements and budget. Long lead items, such as the steel and pre-engineered metal building components, were ordered early in the process. The facility was built in just twelve months and within the owner’s budget due to the collaborative efforts of the project team.

“Team work is the key to any successful project. We had a great team from ownership, to design, to general contractor and a group of quality subcontractors, and all lead by a quality general foreman from the contractor, who kept everything going no matter what problem arose, all working towards to the same goal.”

Vern Stuchell, Project Manager at Elliott Group
