Construction began in October 2005. The project was completed in October 2006, two months ahead of schedule. This facility is 80,000 square feet and sits on twenty acres. Amenities include an indoor aquatic center with a 25-yard, five lane pool, a family recreational pool with sprays, water jets, fountains, and slides, and even a whirlpool. It also includes a warm water therapy pool, sauna and steam rooms, gymnasium, fitness center, and rock climbing wall. Butler Hospital occupies 15,000 square feet of the building, where it offers laboratory, medical imaging, and primary care services. This is a whole wellness approach, combining physical education with medical prevention and health screenings.
