Landau Building Company was the general contractor of the UPMC Matilda H. Theiss Pharmacy Relocation project completed in March 2022. Designed by LGA Partners, the 5,400 SF interior renovation was built in two phases and under 6 months. The health center now has 7 patient exam rooms, a waiting room, consulting space, doctors' offices, and is outfitted with new equipment and a pharmacy. Located in the heart of the Hill District, the new space displays a colorful mural painted by local nonprofit ACH Clear Pathways. The Matilda H. Theiss Health Center has a history stretching more than 100 years, with an initial focus on behavioral health for children. It has since expanded to include a full range of medical services including primary, pediatric and OB-GYN care, as well as a pharmacy, nutritionist and other services.
