Landau Building Company served as the general contractor for West Virginia University Medicine’s Fifth Floor North OR Expansion at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. The 6,300 SF project included interior renovations to four (4) operating rooms and the surgical service support spaces. The project area utilized existing air handling units, and all other MEP systems were tied into the existing infrastructure within the building. Long lead items such as lead glass and OR modular ceilings were ordered early. Work was performed on all four ORs simultaneously, and the ORs were able to “go live” in less than six (6) months.
