Landau served as the General Contractor for the six-story addition to the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. Our team provided the foundations, utilities, and site improvements for this transformative project, which also included 5,000 SF of dedicated space for the WVU School of Nursing.

Designed by Gresham Smith, the 40,023 SF addition brings much-needed space to the hospital, enhancing its ability to offer a broader range of vital services on the rapidly expanding UHC campus. This new addition efficiently utilizes each floor to address specific healthcare needs and educational requirements. The basement level now provides spacious storage areas for the pharmacy and clean linen. The first floor houses the new the MRI, and two new operating rooms are located on the second floor. The third floor is designated space for the mechanical equipment. On the fourth floor there are 14 exam rooms, a waiting area, doctors’ offices, nurse’s station, and staffing areas. The 5th floor now houses new classrooms, a fully-equipped skills lab, and dedicated offices for the School of Nursing program.
