LEED and Sustainability
Landau Building Company is committed to the ideals set forth by LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). This includes implementing cost-effective, environmentally sustainable solutions that add real business value to the projects we build. We develop innovative solutions for our clients to achieve their sustainability goals by utilizing construction methods and materials that minimize detrimental effects to the environment. Landau provides our clients with buildings that enable healthy, productive work environments while reducing operating and maintenance costs. All of this leads to a higher return on investment to our customers.
Landau currently has five LEED accredited professionals on staff and is affiliated with the Green Building Alliance. In the past ten years, we have completed five LEED certified projects: the Robert Morris University School of Nursing and Health Sciences (Certified), the Regional Learning Alliance (Silver), the National Energy Technology Lab (Gold), Leetsdale Industrial Part Building 900 (Certified), and the Northside Fire Station (Certified). Even when sustainability is not an expressed goal of a project, we strive to incorporate the fundamental principles of LEED into our work.
