The Benedum Center Marquee is shining bright again! ✨

We’re excited to share the recently completed restoration of the Benedum Center for Performing Arts marquees in downtown Pittsburgh. Originally known as the Stanley Theatre, this historic building has been a cultural landmark since 1928.

Working closely with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and MCF Architecture, our team at Landau Building Company oversaw the renovation of the iconic marquees on Seventh Street and the Stanley Photoplay board on Penn Avenue. The project involved custom metalwork to replicate the original signage with modern, energy-efficient digital display panels and LED lighting – replacing in total 4,600 bulbs!

Hats off and a job well done to the key contractors and consultants who helped make this project possible: Shamrock Signs, Fallon Electric, CJL Engineering, Brace Engineering, MEPPI, and Phoenix Roofing.
